5 things about me:

1) I enjoy hanging out with my grown up kids. We travel, stay home, listen to music and sing show tunes (badly!)

2) I love to read: Self Help, Love stories, Philosophy and Psychology books.

3) Crafting is my therapy: Crochet, knitting, cross stitch, embroidery.

4) I’m a murderino and day 1 listener of the podcast My Favourite Murder. I love true crime.

5) I rest lots! I’m down for napping, yoga Nidra, restorative yoga.

I first started yoga when I was at a real low point in my life. Back in 2011 I had just been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, partly because I was going through a separation and eventually a divorce (are any divorces nice?).

I wanted to find a way to help me feel better and stop my head and heart from hurting. Right from when I very first went to a Yoga for Beginners 6 Week Course I was hooked.

I loved the way yoga made me feel in my body. The way it slowed my racing mind, the way I noticed how my body liked to move and what I found challenging.

Through movement, meditations and mindfulness I learned about my body and began to notice the little things in life that I’d previously not been aware of. When I came to my mat I could park my “To Do” list to one side and have some “Me Time” instead. I was able to ground myself and focus more clearly.

My goal is to help you feel better. To take time out of the busyness of the day and to slow down just for you.
